Power Boat Racing final day

This weekend the final race in this years Offshore racing series was held outside Dubai Marina. We had been invited to the Jotun tent for food and drinks, and to hopefully cheer for the race winners. It wasn't only the celebration itself that had a norwegian touch, it seemed like somebody had brought the norwegian climat with them on the plane. It was pouring down constantly, it was the first day I have actually been cold since i left Norway.

But the race was great fun, and as every other event; the food and drinks made the day a blast.

Inside the tent we could see the boats flying past the grandstand, and the entire track could be followed on the big screens.

When the race was over, the Jotun stand was a bit disappointed, even though they finnished 3rd. But from a norwegians' point of view the race ended very well, spirit of Norway won the race and Gjelsten became world champoin for the 5th time.
